***Gold-filled materials are made by heat- and pressure-bonding a layer of karat gold to a brass (or other base metal) core, creating a durable surface that will not tarnish or wear off. The value of gold-filled is greater than gold-plated because gold-filled has an actual layer of karat gold on the surface, not just a microscopic film, as is the case with gold-plated items. By using 14k gold-fill metals I can offer designs in 14k gold, at a much lower price than solid gold. Solid gold is available upon request, please contact me for pricing.
